How I Started Staging Homes
In 2016 I moved (with my then boyfriend) to North Carolina from Northern California. We were starting a new chapter in our lives: my boyfriend was accepted into the MBA program at the University of North Carolina.
While in California, I worked in the wine industry after college, starting out in a tasting room and eventually moving into DTC and then tasting room management. I was ready for a change! And interior design was always a huge interest of mine, as well as real estate. I soon got hired onto a small real estate team as the listing and staging manager. I got to live both of my dreams! As the team grew, I moved solely into the staging manager role and I loved the creativity I was able to have every day.
Staging came very naturally to me, but every home I got to touch, my technique got better, the designs got better and better. I wanted this to be something I did for myself.
I knew it was time to branch out and start my own business! I made the very scary leap into self employment! So, here I am, offering interior design and home staging. And I couldn't be happier.
